Apartment hunting

We didn't do anything for New Year's Eve, well, we went to dinner with my mom and Barry, but that's it. Jeff didn't feel very good, so we just stayed home. We were invited to a few places, but he just didn't feel up for going. I think it was actually the first year I didn't even watch the ball drop. Oh well, I had a nice relaxing night with the family.

We've decided to start looking for an apartment. We're going to start having extra money a month now, so we'll be able to afford a place. We found a great townhouse that we really like. We just need to do some figuring to make sure we can afford it easily. At least until Jeff joins the army, because then he'll be making enough to easily make rent, until we get stationed somewhere. But the townhouse is two bedrooms, two and a half bath, has a fireplace in the living room, a nice big kitchen, and comes with a washer and dryer! We've seen other places after that one, but we just can't stop thinking about that one. I just hope we can figure it out!!
Speaking of the army, Jeff is planning to start paperwork and such in February so that he can leave in March for basic. Our friend Chad and him are both planning to go then, so that will be good that they go together, they just have to start studying in order to be ready for their asvab test. We got a bunch of workout stuff for Christmas, so if he doesn't make it to the gym he's got stuff to at least work out at home now which is good.Other than that he's just been working.
Isabella is teething. She's so young, I'm surprised she's started already. Which its not SO bad right now, she's just pretty drooly, not to whiney or cranky about it. We've been working on her sitting up, and she's getting pretty good at it. Not really able to sit by herself, at least not for long, but she's getting closer to it! She's slowly starting to like being on her belly more too. Which is good because she's really good at holding herself up, and she moves her legs a lot, so I think if she keeps that up she'll be crawling shortly. Its just a matter of her being happy on her belly. She was weighed and measured today, she's 13 lbs. and 26 in. She's getting sooo big. We go to the doctor soon too, so we'll find out all that again then too.
I've decided I want to start learning how to cook! I mean, I can cook some things, I just... don't. But as long as I have a recipe I do pretty good at it. I just need to start practicing and cooking more, so that's what I'm going to do. I'm kinda scared for Jeff, cause he'll be the one trying it all, but it shouldn't be too bad. But other than taking care of Isabella and working every once in awhile, that's all I'm up to. I'll be sure to post how the cooking thing goes.

  1. That's what happens when you become a mom, things like watching the ball drop aren't important anymore! I didn't know you new hubby is joining the Army, my husband is actually a recruiter so if you ever have any questions or need help feel free to call me 2086044907- and don't worry about renting and stuff, there's a military clause that every place is required by LAW to have, if you get stationed somewhere they have to let you out of contracts without any fees.
