Recent picture post

Alright, so if you read my post earlier, it said Jeff was probably leaving this week to go to MEPS. Which is where he takes the ASVAB test and gets his physical and enlists. Well, we found out he is going this week he leaves Thursday!! Crazy right!? So by Friday he'll be all enlisted in the Army!!
Anyways, this post will be mostly pictures! I didn't have time earlier to put them in there. We got family pictures/Easter/Isabella's 6 month pictures. I decided to do family ones too because Jeff will most likely be at basic training for Isabella's first birthday. Which SUCKS! But he'll be back soon after at least.

There's a few of them. I think they turned out really good! Plus the ones I used with my new background!

6 months

Isabella is a whole 6 months old!! Oh how time flies!!! Hopefully the next 6 months aren't as fast! But I'm sure they will be! It feels like just yesterday she was brand new! Only... not really cause well, she's lots bigger than she was when she was born! We had her 6 month appointment yesterday, she weighs 17 lbs. and is 27 in. long!! She's in the 84th percentile for weight and 96th percentile for height! She's finally got rolling from her back to her belly down, so that means she's rolling, rolling, and rolling!! Soon she'll be walking and talking too! Hopefully not too soon, but sooner than I would like.
Jeff finally got all of the stuff taken care of that he needed to before going to the Army. So its all starting to happen pretty fast now. He's probably leaving this week to go to MEPS. Its great that its all finally starting to go through and to happen.
I'm still just working pretty much. I've stopped my online classes for now, turns out it was not a good time to start taking them. Which is fine, I'll go back to them when Isabella is a little older and not as dependent.
My mom got married over the weekend! Which means she is now living with Barry, which leaves us with the house all to ourselves! Which is nice until Jeff gets back from basic training and all that. Then we'll see what happens after that, and won't have to worry about paying rent while he is gone.
That's about it right now. I'll post some pictures to update later.

Laura for Real

I started a new blog!! I started to write a big ol' opinionated post on this blog, but really, this one is about me and my little family. So I thought I'd start a new one where I can share my opinion with those interested, rather than those following this one just to be updated on our family. Feel free to check it out!

Be warned though, that blog is ALLLLLL my opinion, and so for the most part, I will NOT be holding back. If I talk about people though, I won't use names, but ya know, that doesn't mean it won't be obvious.

You were warned. ;)

Oh school days....

Well today I'm going to start by updating about myself first!! I started taking online classes, I've made it through week one! Only 8 more weeks in this first block. Very exciting. Somedays it feels pretty overwhelming. Sometimes I feel like I should just drop my classes because I don't always feel like I have support. Which is probably because right now I'm the only one working, so Jeff has Isabella during the day, so sometimes he doesn't really want to watch her while I do my school work too. But towards the end of the week it got a lot better having support from him.
Which I guess leads me to Jeff not having a job. Which is no fun, but he will be going into the Army HOPEFULLY soon. Yes I am hopeful, because he'll just be going into basic training at first, I'm not someone who is all excited for him to jump into the war or anything, so don't worry, when that time comes I'll be all sorts of freaked out! We just have to figure out how much some things are before they can process his application, but that will be figured out in a week or two. Other than that he's just been preparing for basic training and watching Isabella while I work, and looking for a job.
I really want a new job too, I mean, I love the people I work with, I just hate still working in a restaurant. I'm just ready to be out of food service. But right now its just not something I can look into, which sucks. I want something that I can take Isabella with me, like working at a daycare, or just babysitting or being a nanny or something. That'd be awesome.
I don't know if any of you have seen Heroes, or How I Met Your Mother, but you should!! Heroes is so good, especially if you like comic books. How I Met Your Mother is like Friends, but with a lot more alcohol. They're both really good. Jeff and I just finished watching the last seasons, that are on dvd, of both shows. So I'm all caught up except for the seasons that just ended or that are still on. I highly recommend both shows.

We went to dinner at the Sandpiper and then to a movie for Jeff's birthday. The Sandpiper is GOOOOOOOOD!!! Really expensive, but really good! Then we went to see The Crazies, yeah, it scared me!! Jeff really liked it, but its just not my type of movie AT ALL!! Its kind of a zombie type movie. It really scared me, which is kind of sad actually! haha Overall we had a good night out for his birthday, it was nice to get out without Isabella. We both actually got to eat our food, and that's always nice once in awhile!! I really wanted to go see Alice in Wonderland, but Jeff wanted to wait until it wasn't so busy. So we'll probably go see it this week or next. I'm real excited! I hope its good. If you've seen it let me know what you think!!
I really need to start scrapbooking more. I started Isabella's scrapbook, but I really only have one page done. I just haven't had the time to keep it up!! Which sucks because I really enjoy doing it, but I just need time. Its really fun though, so if anyone else is into scrapbooking let me know how you do it!
Isabella is about 5 1/2 months old now!! She's getting so big so fast!! She's got one of those gyms that they lay under and play with the toys, and she can stand up on her own while holding that. I mean, we have to sit right behind her or in front of her, mainly to hold the mat on the floor because if she starts to lean one direction it'll just topple over since its not real heavy. I need to find something else that's easy for her to hold onto that is not so flexible. She hasn't started crawling yet, and can still only roll from her belly to her back, but she's really trying to to roll from her back to her belly, it just hasn't happened yet. She tried apple juice for the first time today! She really liked it. She's also had some foods, she really likes her vegetables more than her fruits which I'm taking as a good sign! She's still drooling a lot, I think she might be getting a tooth, but she won't let me feel for it.

Anyways, that's pretty much all the updating there is right now. I really need to blog more, but I've been so busy lately that when I do have free time I just don't want to do anything, just relax and watch a movie or one of the tv shows we've been into. :)
